Accidents can happen in any workplace no matter how much you try to avoid them, but when they do happen there will always be a policy where the accident has to be investigated. This is not so you can blame someone, but to see why the accident happened in the first place and how it could’ve been prevented. This is where we come in. We will determine:

  • When and where the accident happened
  • Could anything have been done to prevent the accident from happening
  • Is a claim likely to be made
  • Can any lessons be learned from this
  • Was there enough training provided

Hart Safety understand that regardless of how much time and effort is put into ensuring a project is health and safety compliant, things may go wrong and not go to plan. It is to this reason that we will liaise closely with our client to apply a methodical and structured approach to the information gathering, collation and analysis to prepare the report into what has happened and what can be learnt. You will get a copy of this so you can see where changes need to be made.
All the results we do get could help you if your company is facing legal action from the authorities. New measurements and procedures can then be put into place to stop any recurrence.

There is a duty under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) that certain work-related injuries, cases of ill-health and dangerous occurrences are reported. However, not all incidents are reportable, and so Hart Safety would provide help and guidance in this matter.
